01The Challenge

A large WordPress installation had accumulated years of media uploads. Existing cleanup workflows made it difficult to distinguish genuinely unused files from assets referenced in page builders, metadata, widgets, or theme settings.

02The Solution

I built a scanning engine that checks multiple WordPress content locations, processes large libraries in batches, shows where files are used, and keeps deletion under the administrator's control. The PRO version adds deeper builder integrations, storage analysis, bulk cleanup, and a recoverable trash workflow.

03The Impact

The tool evolved from an internal solution into a publicly available product with free and premium versions, published in the official WordPress plugin directory and supported by public user reviews.
